Puzzle Peak

Privacy policy

Last updated October 9, 2026

Puzzle Peak is built to work without knowing who you are. There are no accounts, and we do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, date of birth or location.

What is stored on your device

  • A random device ID, so your results and streak follow you on this browser.
  • Your progress on today's puzzle, your recent results and your settings.

This lives in your browser's local storage. Clearing site data removes it and starts you fresh.

What is stored on our servers

  • A one-way hash of your device ID (never the ID itself).
  • Your attempts and results for each Daily Summit, with timestamps, and your streak and stats.
  • The leaderboard nickname you choose, if you choose one.
  • Usage events — which pages you open and what you do in the game, your device type (for example "mobile, iOS, Safari"), your country, and how you arrived (for example a search engine or a shared link). These never contain puzzle answers.

We do not store your IP address. For abuse protection, a one-way hash of it is used in short-lived rate-limit counters that are deleted within 2 days. Your country comes from our hosting provider at the moment of the request.

Cookies and tracking

We use no advertising or tracking cookies and no third-party analytics. Usage measurement is first-party and on by default; you can switch it off here at any time. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track, it starts switched off.

Advertising

Puzzle Peak does not show ads today. If we add them, we will update this policy first, and visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent through a certified consent tool before any ad technology loads.

Who processes data for us

  • Cloudflare — website hosting and delivery.
  • Supabase — the game database (hosted in the United States).

We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context advertising.

How long we keep it

Raw usage events are deleted after 180 days. Daily results, nicknames and stats are kept while the game runs so leaderboards and archives stay accurate.

Your choices

You can turn off usage measurement above, change or reset your nickname from your stats page, or clear your browser's site data to detach this device. To ask us to delete server data, contact us with your leaderboard name and a date you played.

Children

Puzzle Peak is for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We will update the date above when this policy changes.
